The machine-embroidered lace is produced by an automatic embroidery machine, which creates strip-shaped pattern designs on the fabric under the control of the jacquard mechanism. This method ensures high production efficiency. Various types of fabric materials can be used as the base fabric for machine embroidery, but thin fabrics are most commonly used, especially cotton and artificial cotton fabrics which yield the best results. There are two types of machine embroidery: small machine embroidery and large machine embroidery, with the large machine embroidery being the most common. The effective embroidery length of the large machine embroidery lace is 13.7 meters (15 yards). Embroidering on a 13.5-meter-long fabric can result in full-width embroidery or cut into lace strips. Different embroidery base fabrics can be selected according to different requirements, thereby producing various types of lace, such as water-soluble lace, mesh lace, pure cotton lace, polyester-cotton lace, and various thin yarn lace strips, etc.
